How to Use the Dental Wand Variety Pack
Dental Wands are designed to remove stuck food and plaque buildup safely, comfortably, and effectively.
Because food gets trapped in different places between teeth, Dental Wands include multiple Wand styles and sizes to match your individual needs.
This guide will show you how to choose the right Dental Wand and how to use it correctly for the best results.
Before You Start Fitting
Before fitting Dental Wands, brush your teeth first and rinse your mouth to remove all loose debris. This allows you to accurately determine which Dental Wand size fits each space between your individual teeth.

Where Food Gets Stuck Between Teeth
Food does not get stuck in the same place for everyone. Some people experience food buildup near the gum line, while others get food stuck higher up where teeth meet.
Dental Wand addresses both areas with two different Wand styles:
• Base of teeth (near the gums) BBP Wand
• Top of teeth (where teeth meet) FTP Wand
The Two Types of Dental Wands
Dental Wand uses two specialized, patent pending, Wand designs to target different areas of the teeth.
Base Blasting Pick (BBP) Wands are designed for spaces at the base of the teeth near the gum line.
Full Throttle Push (FTP) Wands are designed for spaces at the top of the teeth where they meet.
Base Blasting Pick (BBP) Wands – For the Base of the Teeth
Proudly Made in the USA
Model 200 – Small (Red)
Model 201 – Medium (White)
Model 202 – Large (Blue)
BBP Wands are designed for people who have spaces at the base of their teeth where food collects near the gum line. The flat bottom of the BBP Wand slides along the gums while the curved edge fits the natural shape of the teeth.
Start with the smallest size and increase only if needed.
The BBP Wand can be used as:
A soft, safe, non-harming toothpick to clear food stuck on the outside and around the teeth.
A plunger to clear stuck food deep between the teeth with a sideways motion that pushes stuck food out the other side.
A tooth scraper of Plaque by using the upper curved edge of the Wand like a scraper in tight areas to remove Plaque buildup easily and effectively; helping also to prevent Gingivitis and gum disease.
How to Use BBP Wands
Rinse your mouth before use to remove loose debris. If there is still excess food outside after rinsing, then use one of the BBP Wands to pick out the food stuck outside of the teeth as a safe, soft, non-harming toothpick.
Next, determine which side has the least buildup outside left and enter the space between the teeth from that direction.
Gently slide the BBP Wand between the teeth at the base near the gum line where the space is. The Wand should move smoothly without too much resistance while pushing the food and plaque out the other side.
If the Model 200, small, slides through easily, try the Model 201, medium. If Model 201 slides through easily, try Model 202 large. If a Wand does not slide through easily, do not force it.
Larger spaces may require several gentle plunging, sliding or up and down motions to fully clear stuck food and remove plaque buildup.
Full Throttle Push (FTP) Wand – For Food Stuck at the Top of the Teeth Where They Meet
Proudly Made in the USA
Model 300 – Small (Green)
Model 301 - Large (Orange)
FTP Wands are designed for food that becomes stuck at the top of the teeth where they meet. This can occur when a tooth is pulled opening a space in the tooth next door where food collects. It is rather painful because stuck food actually pushes your teeth further apart. It can also happen where a filling breaks, causing a space where food collects.
This Wand features patent pending Backbone Technology, which provides added strength and durability.
The backbone sits above the teeth while the tip slides between them, allowing for maximum dislodging power.
Determine which side has less food collected and slide FTP Wand model 300 tip gently between the teeth in a sideways motion pushing the stuck food out the other side.
If you have this problem, you will love the FTP Dental Wand. No more floss tearing through the stuck food slicing your gums again.
So effective, it's like Magic!
How to Use FTP Wands
All our products are made as natural as possible with the safest ingredients.
First rinse your mouth before use to remove loose debris. If there is still excess food outside after rinsing, then use one of the BBP Wands to pick out the food stuck outside of the teeth as a safe, soft, non-harming toothpick.
Next, determine which side has the least buildup outside left and enter the space between the teeth from that direction.
Position the FTP Wand so the tip slides between the teeth while the backbone rests above the teeth. Gently slide the Wand back and forth 2–4 times or until food is dislodged and plaque is removed.
If the Wand does not slide through easily, the space may be better suited for a BBP Wand.
Care and Replacement Instructions
Rinse your mouth before and after use to remove loose debris. After each use, rinse the Dental Wand thoroughly, dry it, and store it in your Dental Wand Travel Buddy Case.
Inspect the Wand before each use. If it has an odor, appears damaged, bent, or unclean, it should be replaced.
Dental Wands are soft and pliable for comfort and effectiveness. When used daily, each Wand is recommended for up to one week of use. Refills are available in three-month supplies.
Complete Your Daily Oral Care Routine
Dental Wands are designed to complement your regular oral care routine. Use Dental Wands after meals and before brushing to remove stuck food and plaque buildup from deep between the teeth and help prevent Gingivitis and gum disease.
When combined with brushing, flossing, and regular dental checkups, Dental Wands help complete your daily oral hygiene routine quickly, comfortably, and effectively.
Using BBP and FTP Wands Together
Many people have different size gaps throughout their mouth and may need more than one Dental Wand model.
Even if you primarily use FTP Wands, keeping a BBP Wand on hand is recommended. BBP Wands can be used as a soft, pliable, toothpick to clear food from the outside of the teeth, opening the space so FTP Wands can work more effectively.
BBP Wands also act as a scraper to remove plaque buildup, so the two products complement each other providing you the best remedy for removing stuck food and plaque buildup.
